Write down the addresses on this fall's Bee Cave event flyers and nearly all of them land in one place. The City of Bee Cave's Trunk or Treat is at 12700 Hill Country Blvd., which is Hill Country Galleria. The city's ice rink opens behind City Hall at 4000 Galleria Parkway. The Galleria's own car show sends every dollar it raises to the Bee Cave Public Library.
Bee Cave doesn't have an old courthouse square. For most of the next six weeks, the Galleria's central plaza and streets serve as one. The city and the shopping center take turns hosting, and a few times they share the same morning. Below is the full stretch in order, with the details that matter when you're actually heading out the door.
Saturday, October 17 Starts at the Library and Ends at a Beer Garden
The first big weekend begins with a city program before the Galleria gets going. Bee Cave Public Library's BeeTweens program meets Saturday, Oct. 17, from 2 to 3 p.m. Oktoberfest at Hill Country Galleria starts right at 3 p.m. and runs until 7. If you have a tween at the library, you can pick them up and walk into Oktoberfest without waiting around.
The Galleria asks people to bring blankets and lawn chairs. The food is Oktoberfest-inspired bites from The League Kitchen + Tavern. The beer list mixes imported brews and local lagers, with oompah music playing. Kids get face painting, balloon art and yard games. Adults can enter a stein-holding contest.
The costume contest is the detail to plan around. The best dirndl or lederhosen wins a YETI cooler. You enter by tagging @hillcountrygalleria on Instagram while wearing your costume, and the winner is announced at 5:30 p.m. If you want the cooler, be there at 5:30, not 6:45.
A practical note for families: the Galleria's website banner currently reads "Splash Pad Temporarily Closed." The Central Plaza page still lists the splash pad's usual hours as 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Neither page gives a reason or a reopening date. Plan as if it's closed, and treat it as a nice surprise if it isn't.
October 22 and 23 Move the Calendar Off the Plaza, Briefly
The one big fall event away from the Galleria plaza is also the one the city warns about. The Haunted Trail runs Thursday and Friday, Oct. 22 and 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. It's on the trail behind Chick-fil-A at 3600 Ranch Road 620, and Hill Country Indoor is the sponsor.
The city recommends it for teens and adults because it is "extra spooky." The trail is set up as a series of scary scenes, and costumes are encouraged. Parking is the step people tend to miss. The city's instructions are to park at Home Depot and walk down to the start of the trail behind Chick-fil-A.
If your family has a teenager who has outgrown candy but still wants Halloween, this is the event for them. The city is also recruiting volunteers to staff the scenes. Volunteers must be at least 18, and the sign-up form is linked from the city's Haunted Trail page. For a parent who would rather scare people than be scared, that's another way in.
The Weekend of October 24 and 25 Fills the Whole Galleria
The pattern is clearest on this weekend. Two days, three events, and all of them on Galleria streets and plaza.
Saturday, Oct. 24: Common Ground Arts Festival, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is Contracommon's sixth annual festival, held on the Galleria's central plaza. It has more than 30 creative vendors, four live music acts and free hands-on activities for all ages. Admission is free. The festival is built to connect emerging Central Texas artists and makers with art lovers in west Austin and the Hill Country. That means the booths are local makers, not a traveling vendor circuit. More details are at Contracommon's festival page.
Sunday, Oct. 25: Rolling Sculpture Car Show, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Collector cars, sports cars and exotics, modern classics, hot rods and art cars fill the Galleria's streets. Spectators get in free, and the show goes on rain or shine. Show-car parking opens at 10 a.m. on the day of the show, and the sponsors present the awards. All proceeds go to the Bee Cave Public Library. So the library programs you used on Oct. 17 benefit from the car show eight days later.
Sunday, Oct. 25: Trunk or Treat, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The City of Bee Cave runs this one, Target sponsors it, and it happens at the same time as the car show. Families come in costume and walk down Hill Country Blvd. collecting candy, with the classic cars parked along the way.
Sunday is the morning when the city and the shopping center fully overlap. A municipal event and a library fundraiser share one street during the same hours. It's the busiest three hours of the season, so plan the morning in this order:
- Arrive before 10 a.m. if you want to watch the show cars pull in, since their parking opens at 10.
- Do trick-or-treating first. Trunk or Treat ends at 1 p.m., two hours before the car show does.
- Eat lunch at a Galleria restaurant and spend the afternoon looking at cars. The show's organizers suggest the same thing, inviting visitors to stroll the shops and grab a bite while live music plays.
- Pack an umbrella just in case. The show runs rain or shine.
November 13 Moves the Gathering Spot to City Hall
When Halloween is over, the calendar shifts to the city side of Galleria Parkway. Bee Cave on Ice returns Nov. 13, 2026, and stays open through Jan. 18, 2027. The rink is behind City Hall at 4000 Galleria Parkway.
The posted hours are tied to the school day:
- Monday through Thursday: 3 to 9 p.m., last session at 8
- Friday: noon to 10 p.m., last session at 9
- Saturday and school holidays: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., last session at 9
- Sunday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., last session at 6
On weeknights the rink doesn't open until 3 p.m., so it's an after-school and after-work stop. If you want a morning skate, go on a Saturday or a school holiday. The last session starts an hour before closing every day, so get there before that cutoff. Holiday hours are posted on the city's Bee Cave on Ice page, and reservations are made through the city's online booking link. Check the page again before you go on a holiday date.
Smaller Dates and Open Questions
Not everything on the city's calendar gets a flyer. These are smaller items from the same weeks, plus a few things that are still unconfirmed.
- National Night Out is on the City of Bee Cave calendar for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
- Library programs keep going through October. Storytime is at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 6, 9, 13 and 16. Baby Bumblebees is at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 8 and 15. Bee Creative is Oct. 10 at 2 p.m., and Book Club meets Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. BeeTweens meets again on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 2 to 3 p.m.
- Bee Cave Parkway repaving between RM 620 and Highway 71 started July 19. The city expected four to six weeks of evening work, lane closures and guardrail replacement near Guidepost Montessori. That estimate has passed, but no published update confirms the work is finished. If you drive the Parkway at night, leave a little extra time.
- JETSET Pilates is coming to Hill Country Galleria at 12800 Hill Country Blvd., Suite G-100. Community Impact reported in September that construction was expected to wrap up in November, with an opening forecast for this winter. It's another reason Hill Country Blvd. sees steady foot traffic, but it isn't open yet.
- Holiday tree lighting: none of the official sources we reviewed confirms a 2026 Galleria tree lighting date. The weekly Bee Cave Farmers Market page doesn't list specific 2026 dates either. Check both closer to Thanksgiving before you plan around them.
Some nearby openings you may have read about are outside Bee Cave city limits, even when the address says Bee Cave Road. SAF Wine Bar & Nosh, for example, reopened in May after a remodel at 2127 Lohmans Crossing Road in Lakeway. It holds biweekly Friday salsa classes from October through June. It's close enough to add to a fall Friday night, but it isn't on the Galleria or city calendar.
At Donnette Premier Group, we follow Bee Cave the same way you do, one date and one address at a time. That covers the plaza and the rink, and it covers what's happening around your home too. If you'd like to know what your house is worth this fall, request your free home valuation and Bee Cave neighborhood guide, and our team will send you local numbers with the same level of detail.
